Prototyping Project Dino

I’m not going to give too much away right now, but this is a turn based strategy game where your goal is to survive and rebuild dinosaur facilities. One way to think of it is that it takes place in the movies Jurassic Park 2 & 3. Where the island has been destroyed by dinosaurs only instead of just trying to survive, you’re also trying to rebuild the island.  Think of this only as a setting for the game, it’s VERY different from any Jurassic Park game you’ve played in both feel and gameplay.

The thing I’m most excited about so far is this marks the first time I’ve ever went through a heavy prototyping phase. On previous games I’ve spent maybe 3 or 4 days on core gameplay mechanic design, with this I’ve spent over a month making revisions.  I’m nearing the end of the prototype phase, but I’d estimate I’ve made 10 major revisions!  And I must say I’m tremendously excited, it’s miles above anything we’ve done before at Toychest Games.
